How long?:
6 months- 1 year typically with at least biweekly sessions
(Not a guarantee, but the average I’ve seen from my experience)
How much?:
My fee is $200/session. The frequency of sessions is dependent on your budget:
Monthly, Biweekly, or Weekly.
I do offer super-bills: Invoices that allow for out of network benefit reimbursement for those that qualify.
(A diagnosis is required for out of network reimbursement)
Do you take insurance? No, for the following reasons:
Insurance requires receiving therapist notes, trauma history, and symptoms: limiting privacy for clients.
Insurance often takes months to reimburse, and too frequently refuses reimbursement
months after services have already been provided, leaving clients with a large surprise bill.
Low reimbursement rates that don’t increase with post graduate training or years of experience.
Instead, to help keep therapy accessible, I keep sliding scale spots open for low income clients.
These sliding scale spots are currently full.
-
Hyper-independence is absolutely a strength.
It can also keep us isolated: avoiding conflict, vulnerability, and bearing more than we need to on our own.
